The Menarini Group is a European privately owned pharmaceutical company, headquartered in Italy, where it was founded in 1886.
With an annual turnover of over 2.6 billion euros and 12584 employees, Menarini is characterized by its very strong marketing skills, and by its 30-year long history of pharmaceutical research.
They have consolidated in-license and co-marketing agreements with the main European, American and Japanese companies, characterized by continuous exchange of know-how and experience with partners.
Their products are now commercialized in over 100 countries, in most of which we established dynamic and efficient subsidiaries. Actually, we have full coverage of the entire European territory (Western, Central, Eastern Europe, plus CIS countries and Turkey). We are also present in Latin America, Middle East, Africa and Asia.
They have a strong Field Force presence throughout their territories, with highly educated, constantly trained teams, that very effectively cover specialists and GP's in each country. Their long-term successful experience in marketing and sales of products in different therapeutic areas, best geared to country/region characteristics, makes Menarini a preferred partner of new drug originators.
They have excellent know-how and performances in regulatory affairs, with expert management and implementation of specific local requirements in any country/region (where applicable).
Menarini performs research, from drug design to phase III clinical studies, mainly focused on cancer and inflammation, in its six Research Centres in Europe.
The largest of these Centres, the Campus based in Pomezia (Rome), includes separate facilities for Chemistry, Pharmacology, Toxicology, and Biotechnology.
The latter has two separate lines of fermentors for microorganisms and for mammalian cells.
